Addressing the gathering during the special membership disbursement meeting, Mr. Elangovan said, "For nearly 42 years since the year 1967, Congress party making its presence felt in Tamil Nadu was a never ending dream. Like in the story of Vikramathithan, it continued to evade until Rahul Gandhi bought about a change in the scene. Within a short time, nearly 15 lakh new young members joined the youth wing of Congress despite the fee of Rs. 15 for every membership."
'But, ours is charged at rs. 3 and we should show three times the membership enrollment or retire leaving space for the youngsters to perform,' he added.
