Deputy Chief Minister M. K. Stalin has planned a trip to visit USA next week and gain details about the infrastructure implemented in the nation.

With a keen insight to revamp the look of Chennai and Tamil Nadu, Stalin has been pipelining a slew of welfare plans and also getting ideas from experts belonging to other countries. Chennai is spoilt with the presence of the Kuvam river that has been dumped for garbage since the past two decades. In an attempt to save the stream and make it usable, Stalin will visit a similar river in Texas which was polluted to a great extent and as now been revamped.

Plans are on the cards to visit the experts and get their advice on how to change Kuvam river. Stalin will also have a meet with top officials of the US government. The nine-day trip will begin on August 31 and the persons list who are to accompany him is yet to be published.
