Suicide Bombers Target Market; 34 Casualties

In the continuing insurgency in Pakistan, the militants targeting the busy market area in Lahore on Monday killing at least 34 people, according to reports. A massive destruction had been vent to the properties in the area including cars and buildings while nearly 100 people were injured in the blast.

This time the terrorists used remote controlled bombs that were detonated from far away areas and planted earlier. It was a planned assault as the detonation time coincided with the most busiest time of the market. More than two dozen people are severely injured and it might be possible that some of them may not survive.

It was the second attack in a day before which a bomber threw himself in the court complex at Peshawar and killed 10 people including 30 injured ones. A major disaster was averted as the bomber was denied access into the complex at the last minute as the police became suspicious of him.

Bomb squad declared evidences were minimal but they managed to recover body parts and jackets from the blast spot.
