AIADMK Will Fight For People's Rights: Jayalalitha

November 18, 2009 11:30:00
All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leader Jayalalitha in her recent statement released today condemned the ruling DMK party for its unconcern towards the grievances of the people and said a demonstration will be organized to fight for their rights.

The incessant monsoon rains had lashed the whole of Tamil Nadu with so much casualties but the government is so slow in their process to do the needful. In the metro city Chennai itself, roads had been flooded and most of them had been badly damaged. The roads were not built with proper funds in good quality or else it wouldn't have got ripped off.

Areas including Thyagaraja Nagar and surrounding regions are flooded due to the blithe of the officials. If the dam was opened in proper time, the flood could have been averted but they didn't do so. Traffic is still hurdled with waters that are stagnant and it might also spread unwanted diseases.

On behalf of the people, AIADMK members would stage a protest in front of the CM's office in Chepauk tomorrow demanding the government to take immediate action.
