November 06, 2009 11:30:00
Supporting the cause of the TASMAC employees and urging the ruling party DMK to make their jobs permanent, the AIADMK led demonstration will be held tomorrow on November 7.

Despite the fact that the TASMAC shops located all over Tamil Nadu earns a yearly revenue of nearly 12, 500 crores, the employees are issued salaries which are below the essential needs and they are struggling to lead their daily lives. Everyday the cost of essential goods is going sky high while the workers had been serving for nearly six years without permanent jobs.

The government run wine shops are not treated as a legal business and the employees are not favored with the allowances issued for all government employees.

With the major woes including making the employees permanent, re hiring those who were fired, salary on par with that of government employees and other trivial ones, the Anna Workers Union members would stage the demonstration tomorrow at Chennai Chepauk governor's hall fasting for the entire day.
