Women's Quota Bill Will Be Passed By Year End: Pa. Chidambaram

The reservation quota for Women in the state assembly and parliament will mostly be passed by the end of this year, said Union Home Minister Pa. Chidambaram giving a ray of hope.
For a long time, the women's quota petition to assign 33% reservation in the parliament and state assemblies were denied by the various opposition parties including Mulayam Singh's Samajwadi party and Lalu Prasad Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal.
Terms are on to bring about the quota into vogue to give equal rights for women in the legitimate body. Pa. Chidambaram said that government is working towards the welfare of women and youth alike by launching special transportation including Ladies train, bus and so on.
The bill coming into operation will change the face of parliament body and is expected to raise the democratic level of the country by providing an opportunity for women to make decisions.
