July 03, 2009 10:30:00
The confounding names Kranica and Moolathuva is familiar places for the Tamils in Sri Lanka that has been rechristened by the government.

Before revealing the origin of these names, it has to be iterated that instead of starting rehabilitation work in the destroyed zone, the Sri Lankan government seems to be keen on building up a base for Buddhism and Sinhalese in the Tamil regions.

The historical temples are being hurriedly destructed especially the ones that have prominent Hindu gods Balaji, Muruga and Vinayaga. A landmark Buddha temple is under construction at Kilinochi and the international countries are mute spectators unable to question is this necessary before finding a solution for the suffering Ezham Tamils.

Sri Lanka's intention is explicit to spread Buddhism and the language Sinhala in the country after completely forcing the Tamil population to extinct. Karnica and Moolathuva is the well known areas Kilinochi and Mullaitheevu that has been rechristened by the government.
