Chief Minister Karunanidhi Invited By Karnataka CM

Meeting Chief Minister Karunanidhi at his Gopalapuram residence, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa invited him to unveil the Thiruvalluvar statue in Bangalore.
After recovering from the diabetes treatment, the neighbhoring state chief minister came personally to invite the former for he is famed for his love for Tamil and a talented laureate. The meeting prolonged for half-an-hour after which B S Yeddyurappa said to the press that he promised to meet Karunanidhi earlier and asked him not to come to the hospital when he was undergoing treatment.
He refused to answer the question posed about deputy chief minister Stalin's proposal to begin the Hoggenakkal project worth Rs 1, 334 crores that would supply enough drinking water for the people in Tamilnadu which would be implemented by 2012.
"We didn't discuss about the water issue and the hoggenakkal proposal. I came with a sole purpose to invite him for the inauguration and to speak about allotting a space to erect a statue of the famous Kannada poet Sarvagna," said Yeddyurappa.
