Perarignar Annadurai's centebary birthday falls on 15th Semtember, 2008. He was born in 1909, 15th September, at Kanjeepuram (Then Kancheevaram). This year being his centenary birth year Tamil Nadu Government has announced that this one full year there would be celebrations throughout the state by way of conducting various functions and cultural programmes in memory of one of the greatest legends of Dravidian movement.
